Ancient Egypt Soldiers
Orignaily ancient Egyptions weren't fighters they farmers, they didn't realise a reason to have a classified army. They were naturally highly protected by boundaries of the desert that surround the empire during the old Kingdom. If the pharaoh need men to fight they would call up farmers to protect the country.
Eventually the Hyksos ( They are Asiatic people from west Asia) people located near northern Egypt. Egypt became organized. However Hyksos conquered Egypt using chariots and advanced weapons. The Egyptians knew they now needed an army. They learned how to make powerful chariots and gathered a strong army with infantry, archers, and charioteers. They eventually took Lower Egypt back from the Hyksos
The Ancient Egyptians had a standing army. The Ancient Egyptian soldier had either choose that this was a good career choice and could lead to advancement or the other type of soldier was forced to join Egypt army against his own will. The Ancient Egyptian Military consisted of both an army and a navy.
